People today are more concerned about taking care of their bodies than before. They are more into getting the right shape and weight to be healthy. Most people are now aware of the risks they have when they are of excess weight and have an improper diet. The main reasons for having a healthy body are both self-esteem and decreasing the risk for diseases. One of the many diseases that affect us is acne. Though not as debilitating as other diseases, it poses the risk for low self-esteem issues.
In order to help cure or treat and prevent acne, you must have a healthy diet. Diet is part of having the healthy body you long to have. Be fit and be smart in what you eat and you will certainly enjoy the benefits of having a healthy body.
One way to have a proper diet is by eating the right amounts of food. Attain a good balance of food containing omega-3 and omega-6. Food items with omega-6 are often preferred by people. Foods having high amounts of omega-6 are pork, beef, and chicken. Having a low amount of omega-3 in the body and high amount of omega-6 puts us at risk of many diseases. Eat more food containing omega-3 like tuna, avocados, and walnuts and this will help balance omega-6 and prevent diseases. Omega-3 is also known to be good for the heart.
Milk is a great source of calcium but what we do not often think of is that milk contains hormones from cows. Cows require hormones to create and secrete milk. Hormonal injections are also being given to cows for them to produce more milk for marketing purposes. These hormones affect our body in many ways. Though there is no conclusive study showing the direct effects of milk in relation to acne, there are some studies that have shown that people who drink a lot of milk have more acne than those who drink less. Many studies have shown this but they cannot point out the specific substance that is causing acne; the hormones in milk are suspected to be the cause.
Another way to prevent acne is having more sulfur in the diet. Eating raw onions and cooked garlic supplements the body’s need for sulfur. Sulfur can only be found in a few substances and it is a main ingredient in most anti-acne products. Eat raw onions and rub on raw garlic over acne and scars to help fight acne. Garlic has an antibacterial effect which helps control bacterial infections that cause acne.
In fighting diseases, one of the best things to do is to achieve that healthy body. Anything in excess is bad for the health one way or another.
