Blackheads…Blackheads…Blackheads… Believe me; I know how frustrating it is to try to look all dolled-up and then notice blackheads on your nose, forehead, chin, or pretty much anywhere else on your face.
I can tell you to run to the nearest dermatologist, go through dermabrasion, and get rid of all those blackheads easily! You actually can, but money is so tight right now that unless you are Jennifer Lopez or something, spending more than a hundred bucks on your face seems so wrong. Thus, in moments like this, we need to rely on what Mother Nature has to offer. You know what they say – “if life throws you lemons, make lemonade.”
Instead of making lemonade, you can squeeze lemon juice on your face and wake-up with clearer skin. Okay, you don’t really wake up the following day blackhead-free, but you should notice significant improvement if you use lemon juice treatment regularly. You might be thinking I am way over my head with this natural way to say bye-bye to blackheads, but there is actually a scientific basis for this tip.

It’s helpful to understand the science behind this if you want to know how to get rid of blackheads. Blackheads are usually caused by excessive production of oil on the skin; and as we all know, lemon juice is acidic. The acids in the juice will neutralize the chemistry of your skin, causing it to be less oily. All other things follow after this – you get fewer blackheads, fewer pimple breakouts, and a naturally beautiful skin.
Aside from the fact that you can practically swap your derma appointment with a trip to the kitchen, this is very easy to do. Take a clean cotton swab, dip it in pure lemon juice, and simply apply it on the part of your skin with lots of blackheads (or you can do this on your entire face too). Do this every day until your face is rid of those pesky blackheads and even whiteheads.
You can also make a mask from lemon juice. Take an egg white (remember to remove the yolk as it may irritate the skin if taken in excess) and mix it with half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Let the mixture dry on your skin for about 20 minutes and pull the mask off. This mask may also help remove dead skin.
Lastly, you can also take equal parts of rose water and lemon juice, apply it to your skin, and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse the mixture with warm water and pat your face dry. This practice helps get rid of blackheads and it makes your face look fairer as well.
So, does lemon juice get rid of blackheads? It absolutely does!

Lemon juice was fantastic. I used it on my nose. And instantly saw an improvement. I used the bottled stuff (the kind you put on pancakes), and i was like a wow. The only down side was it caused a little bit of an irritation, and my nose is a little sore. Overall, I’d give lemon juice an 8 out of 10. Plus it didn’t cost me a penny as it was already in the cupboard.
